But there is no scientific argument why.Where did this come from? Some believe the close connection between pink and girls started in 18th century France. Pink also known as the color of love, first recorded as such in the 17th century. It's a nicer color than red, that is associated more with sex than real love. What a lot of people don't know is that the Nazi's 'branded' gays as they did with the jews, only they used pink ribbons. In the 19th century, the Financial Times first started using pink for the newspaper, and salmon pink become a common color for financial papers. In the 19th century the British Empire was colored pink in world maps.
