The Habitat Grove, in the center of Moerenuma Park, Japan, was the chosen location for Hidemi Nishida’s installation. He installed atmospheric curtains between the trees, in an area 50 by 50 meters in size, adding gradation and depth to the landscape. Blue and white are natural in a snowy environment, actually the color of snow and ice it’s self. These are the colors you’ll see if you we’re in a snow cave, even though snow itself is actually colorless: it’s white merely because it reflects all the light that reaches it. Adding these colors to the already snowy landscape make it more chilling.
